The Challenge
Constructing in a historic district imposed strict height restrictions and façade design guidelines to maintain neighborhood character. Underground parking excavation adjacent to century-old brownstones required millimeter-precision underpinning and real-time structural monitoring.
The Solution & Execution
We collaborated closely with the Boston Landmarks Commission, developing a contemporary design that pays homage to the neighborhood's Federal-style architecture through carefully proportioned brick and limestone façade elements.
